Fjåk Chocolate, Norway

Fjåk Chocolate, Norway

Let us introduce FJAK Sjokolade, the first and only bean to bar chocolate maker in Norway.

Wondering how to pronounce the name? It’s FYORK … I think!
Wonder what it means? English translation is “honest”, “lovable” and is used in Norway to describe a person’s character. So go ahead and assume the chocolate is both because it is. Ethically sourced and 100% organic, made in small batches in their small factory in Hardangerfjord with minimal ingredients, packaged in straightforward, informative and attractive wrappers.

Partners Agur and Siv started experimenting with chocolate in 2015 and in 2017 these two women co-founders 2017 launched the FJÅK brand. Their chocolate was immediately recognized as amazing for flavour and applauded for innovation and they have won numerous awards for many of their bars. In 2018 the Academy of Chocolate in the UK awarded many of their bars as well as naming them the European Rising Star.

They take inspiration from Norwegian foods and flavours to create bars with Nordic ingredients such as waffles, brown cheese and lingonberries. We love the creativity they bring to the chocolate. The flavour combinations are very intriguing to our customers and we get a lot of questions about brown cheese!

Our current assortment includes white and milk chocolate flavoured bars, such as Blackcurrant Pie White Chocolate and 45% Milk Nibs & Oak Smoked Salt. The dark bars are all single origin and include a Milk Madagascar - the winner of a Gold award from the International Chocolate Awards in Europe as well as Dark Uganda, Dark India (Silver Award) and Dark Madagascar - a Gold from the Academy of Chocolate.

We’re excited to present these bars to you and look forward to hearing your thoughts on them! See the full Fjåk Chocolate collection here
